Ken received a BA from LaGrange College with a double major in Psychology and Social Work.  He received his Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia.  He has earned three licenses to practice in Georgia: Clinical Social Work, Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy.  He is also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional.

Mary Anne is licensed in the state of Georgia as a Professional Counselor and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  She has been in private practice at North Pines Center for 25+ years.

 

In addition to her clinical work, Mary Anne was an adjunct psychology professor at Georgia Perimeter College for 25 years.  Additionally, she also served as a Mental Health Consultant for Head Start Program at McIntosh Trail Early Childhood Development Council and as a Psycho-Educational Consultant for the Detroit public school system.

Mary Anne received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Marygrove College and her Masters in Counselor Education from the University of Dayton.

Mary Anne is presently a mental health provider for numerous major Health Insurance panels such as Blue Cross, blue Shield, Aetna, United Health Care, Cigna, Humana, Tricare, Value Options, along with EAP (Employee Assistance Program) counseling for such networks as Ceridian, UBH, Value Options, Cigna, EAP Consults, NEAS, Corp Care, ComPsych, Pacificare, The Wellness Corporation, etc.

She is a 20+ year member of AAMFT, GAMFT and LPC of Georgia.

In her free time she loves traveling, reading and enjoying time with her husband of 40+ years, adult children, grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Thommi Odom, LAPC, NCC, PMP, PHR is a certified Psychotherapist and Career Coach who helps individuals fall in love with Mondays again. Her corporate career spanned twenty years:

• First as a bean counter (her B.S. is in Accounting from Mercer University),
• Then as a techno-geek (M.B.A. in Information Systems from Kennesaw State),
• And finally in Human Resources where she found her true calling (M.S. in Professional Counseling, Mercer).
Thommi is an instructor at Georgia Perimeter College and is currently pursuing her PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision at Mercer University. She works with North Pines clients as a distance counselor.

Kim is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, Certified Marriage & Family Therapist, & Nationally Certified Counselor. She specializes in grief counseling, life adjustment, anxiety, and depression in adults, teens, & children (8 and over).  Before pursuing her passion to be a psychotherapist, Kim was a published molecular biology researcher and also did scientific marketing for Clontech Laboratories.  She went back to graduate school in 2009 & graduated Summa Cum Laude from Capella University.  For Kim, the therapist-client relationship built on trust and empathy is the most important part of the therapeutic journey.  Along with intutitive guidance, mindfulness of emotion,  & a sense of humor, she will use individualized tools for each client so your experience will be as unique as you are.  She does not look at therapy as repairing a problem but will set goals with you toward positive change and personal growth.  

Kim also writes guest blogs for various sites including Panic Away, Your Tango, & Happitivity.  She also began and founded the Beginning Counselors-Georgia website and group to help students and new graduates of counseling programs for professional development help and mentors.  Kim is happily a member of many professional organizations including the Licensed Professional Counselor Association of Georgia & the American Counseling Association. In her free time, she watches sci-fi on Netflix with her husband & cats, finds joy in her family &friends, spoils her nieces & nephews, & participates in swimming, yoga, & meditation for self-care.
